47Up - Let's Change47 together
47 is the average life expectancy of people who are homeless. Hundreds of people lose their life each year on the streets of Australia. This is a National emergency and needs to change.
As a person who is 47 this year, I have pledge to Change 47 by raising funds to support six new Beddown venues across Queensland. Beddown isn't just a safe place to sleep, it's a health and social response giving people access to a range of services that are life changing.
I have organised a Change47 “Fun”raiser.
As the average life expectancy for someone who is homeless is just 47, I will be walking 47 laps of the Morningside Panthers Footy Oval on Tuesday 20 June from 8am. It may take me a few hours (I am 47!) so come down at any stage during the morning. Join in for a lap or a few, cheer me on or watch and laugh but most importantly donate to Change47!
