Ipswich Venue will Transform for Homeless

16 Jun 2023
We have exciting news to share! Ipswich City Council has granted approval for our first female-only venue in Ipswich. This is a major milestone on our journey to transform an empty space into a safe haven for up to 12 homeless women each night.

Thank you to 10 News First Queensland and Bianca Carbone for covering this great news!

A huge shoutout to Cr Andrew Fechner for his unwavering support in advocating for the waiving of all fees and enabling us to fast-track the application process with Ipswich City Council. Your dedication to our cause is truly remarkable.

We'd also like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the incredible Wolter Consulting Group for their invaluable contributions that have brought us this far. Their expertise and commitment have played a vital role in making this project a reality.

Special thanks go to BSPN Architecture for their exceptional work in designing the space. Their creativity and vision have helped shape a welcoming and functional environment for our future guests.

Now, we're reaching out to the community for support with trades, materials, and equipment. We have a lot of work ahead of us, and your assistance can make a significant difference. If you're able to contribute, please reach out to us. Together, we can create a lasting impact.

Lastly, there's still time to support the Ipswich community by making a tax-deductible donation to Change 47. You can even choose to support Team Ipswich specifically. Every contribution brings us closer to our goal. Visit our website or send us a message for more information.
